It’s that time of the year when everyone begins to badger you about what you are going to do next year. Sadly as I’m in year 12, I have to start properly thinking about what I want to be doing after I finish school.

For me, this is “sad” because I’m not actually sure what I want to be! Which is quite a scary thought as most of my friends already know what course they’re going to be doing and where they’re doing it, and also because it determines your future and I really don’t want to make the wrong decision…
Times have changed from when I was around 5/6 years old and I decided that I wanted to be a farmers wife with 8 children, living on a farm in North Somerset for the rest of my life.

As reality has hit, I’ve gone from wanting to be a farmer, police woman, or a Bollywood actress, to more recent and realistic considerations of law, journalism, marketing and consultancy as possible professions.

Here’s an example of people who look happy and self assured in their career, as models.

All of these job titles sound really interesting but, I don’t know if I want to spend the rest of my life in one of those jobs. Maybe that’s because of lack of research, or just me being a confused teen, but I need to decide soon.

If anyone has gone through the same thing of not quite knowing, or is going through this right now, leave a comment down below and we can try to help each other!

This is a really good blog Preeya, I know the feeling because I am disabled and have very limited mobility it is difficult to go for dream jobs, but I have made my decision and I am going to be a writer as well as starting my own photography business, perhaps you could do the same, start up something new and make it your own business. I am always here if you need a hand and I am more than happy to help a very true friend. xxx
