Most teenagers above the age of 15 have had the “joy” mocks this week, or are doing them next week.
Sadly, I am one of them. I am currently preparing myself for 5 exams next week, and I’m not going to lie, I’m quite worried.    All of my teachers at school are pushing everyone to revise every day for hours upon end and push the sheer importance of these exams a lot. Constantly saying that these exams will reflect how you’re going to perform at the end of the year and that if you don’t do well now, you won’t do well later on. -adding to stress levels ever so slightly.

What makes it worse, is that some of my teachers have continued to teach us content (which is not relevant to the mock) rather than letting us revise in lessons, making me feel even less prepared. – more stress!
Now this post may just seem like I’m complaining… I mean I am, but I’m not looking for sympathy at all.   Mainly because I know that a lot of people reading this will be in the same boat as me.
For those of you who are feeling like, if you don’t pass your mocks, you’re going to fail your end of years, meaning you won’t be able to carry on studying next year (whether that’s GCSES/ A Levels or University), resulting in you as a bin man with no qualifications. STOP WORRYING!
I know that exams are stressful, and at the moment it may seem like what I just said is all true, it’s not! A little something I learnt in Psychology this year, is that a lot of people tend to generalise a lot like I just did, (Self, World, Future) and that it’s totally unnecessary to think like that because, even if you don’t do amazingly now, it’s not the end of the world! I promise.
Good luck everyone! You’ll be fine.
