Yesterday my parents and I decided to go to London so that my mum could be reunited with her childhood friend Shirin who is visiting from America. We planned to meet at 10:30 until 1, but as we have a hopeless sense of direction around the busy streets of London, we met from 12-2.
We were greeted at the British Museum by Shirin, her daughter Safiya, there cousin Maya and her grandmother Julshan. It was great to meet them all, it made my mum very happy!
After conversing and taking photos with each other for 2 hours, the Americans decided to go and explore more of London so we went our separate ways!
My parents and I went to Covent Garden, where I met up with a friend Saira who I met in Canada last year! It was so lovely to be able to catch up with her!
The street acts of London impress me, as they risk there lives for an audiences entertainment. The “floating” characters of London continue to creep me out as a floating man dressed as Yoda kissed my head when I went to take a photo with him…
My selfie game was rather strong yesterday, I managed to get a selfie with Yoda, Donald Duck, a police man and my dad.
After all the excitement and walking through the Squares and unnecessarily long roads of London, we decided to call it a day and return to the car park we parked in, on the outskirts of London, and go have dinner at Everest in Harrow where I enjoyed chilli paneer, potato 65 and some masala chicken.
Yesterday was great and I hope to have more fun days like this again soon!
