Catch Up

Hey guys!

Before I start, I would like to say sorry for the extreme lack of content on here recently, I thought I would have been able to manage my time a bit more effectively than I have over the past few weeks and haven’t really had the chance to sit down and write.
I’ve done some interesting things these past few weeks though, such as counting the votes for the General Election which was a brilliant experience but I don’t know if I’d ever do it again if I have school/work the next day… We stayed up until 3:30am counting!

Exam season definitely drains me, and knowing that I still have 3 more exams to do is very stressful! I’ve done 5, so I’m over half way through (which is always a nice motivator) and I’ve just got 2 Politics and 1 Business Studies exam to do now. I cannot wait for them all to be over because then I can watch movies and YouTube videos without feeling guilty for not revising…
Exam time is always stressful for the vast majority of people and I think some of the main causes of stress are the expectations you set yourself, the expectations set by your school and the pressure from your parents to do well.  However, without stress I think a lot of us wouldn’t actually be able to get much done and procrastination levels would be much higher!

So yes, in a way stress can be helpful but only if you know how to cope with it. I know a lot of people who cannot cope with stress and I see them constantly panicking and showing signs of self-doubt even though they will probably ace the exam they’re worried about.

Our education is a tad messed up don’t you think? I believe that the recent education reforms are so wrong and I feel VERY sorry for all those who are beginning their A Levels in September, I feel that people struggle enough as it is, so why make it harder?  – That’s a whole new blog topic though, let me know if you want to see another blog about this!

Anyway, I have almost finished my AS Levels and will be starting A2 courses in June for 3 weeks, then resuming them in September and after that… I will hopefully be off to University! That sounds so bizarre to say right now, but yes, I am beginning my University search in mid-June and I am SO very excited!

-One last thing, what would you guys think if I started making YouTube videos? Alongside with the blog, maybe I’ll try daily vlogging and making random videos? I’m not sure, leave your opinions down below!-

Thanks guys, Preeya x

To combat stress one should meditate.
We all so outwardly focused with our mobiles all day.
Close your eyes and focus on your breathing. It is that simple. Just for two minutes when you feel really stressed.
Even matter make it a daily practice. 2 to 3 times a day

Good luck with the remaining ones.
